Default MIDI controller hookup
Simple question really...

I bought a Radium 61 MIDI controller a while ago. Since I was using an Audigy2 at the time, I hooked the controller up via USB.

Just recently I upgraded to an audio interface that has MIDI I/O (Firestudio Project). It seems logical that I now plug my controller into the Firestudio, but I don't really have a good answer why that is.

Does it even make a difference?
