Sorry, i'd read about the usb MIDI interfaces being quite good/acceptable in terms of latency..sorry about sounding like a d*ckhead, but are you sure the usb midi interfaces out there (like the one i linked in the last post) will have a delayed response? I'm using a year old laptop, with a reasonbly new sound card
EDIT: i say that because i didn't come across anything like that in the reading i did, only people with older sound cards seemed to have the problem.
