Default Re: Magic Formula is?

I don't have any soft synths outside of Sequel 2. Therefore, at a minimum, I would have to compose with Sequel, then import to Cubase. My experience so far, with the laptop that I am using, more tracks = more glitches. Now if Cubase 4 LE can use Sequels soundframe files, that is news to me. That would greatly simplify my life. My perfect solution would be to replace the laptop, but that isn't going to happen. See my dilemma? To recap:

Sequel 2 has all of my loops and instruments, but can't midi sync
Cubase 4 can midi sync, but can't use sequel sound frame, so I have to import recorded tracks
Laptop chokes on more than 12 tracks in Sequel. Don't know how many tracks I can run in Cubase 4
