Problems with Soundblaster Audigy ASIO driver (PC Windows) :: Knowledge Base :: Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH Problems with Soundblaster Audigy ASIO driver (PC Windows) Problem: The following problems can occur when using the ASIO driver of the Creative Labs Soundblaster Audigy Hardware, if not used with 48 kHz samplerate:
- Audio and MIDI do not run synchronized
- MIDI events are recorded with an offset
- Audioloops are not correctly time-strechted to the song tempo
- Playback has wrong pitch (sounds detuned)
In Cubase the samplerate can be set in the project settings dialogue.
Solution: If you work with 48 kHz samplerate all mentioned problems usually do not occur. Another solution is to replace the hardware completely against audio hardware with ASIO 2.0 drivers without samplerate limitations.
