It was at some breakdown bit at the end of the songs, the chugs were out from the kicks.

I would say 2 takes panned left and right, this is usually just for rythm, add leads as a seperate track panned centre is what I would do.

Bass centre.

Drums, kick and snare usually centre toms and cymbals are usually panned around the kit from either audience or drummer perspective, dont go wider than 40 or 50% each side though for this or it'll start to sound wierd.
