it seems you are right. i usually do it that way. however, I wonder how to do it anyway, because with piano I cannot phisically play even tempo and need that kind of solution. I know it is relatively easy in Cubase SX3 or 4- it is called Timewrap, but I have LE.

this problem occured when I play together with a singer who does not keep even tempo - if we want to add some percussion to the recording later I have either to record it myself or place the samples into the track manually.
