PityTheDead is on a distinguished road
Default Trying to get started

Hello, I am new to the site and have a few questions regarding software. I am looking for affordable recording software. I am just looking for personal use. I have used Magix Music studio in the past and recorded many many songs with it. While that program was CHEAP it was a serious pain in the ass to use. It worked, but barely, and didn't give you any options other than combining tracks and thats about it. Unfortunatly I cannot justify spending more than $100 on a program (which I know seriously limits my options) Like I said I just use this for personal pleasure. I need a multi-track recording software that is somewhat easy to use and has options for effects and mixing. I don't know if such a program exists. I have seen ones in that range but I don't know if they are worth it. I am really a beginner when it comes to recording. I use a cheap M-audio interface and capable PC. Any info or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Matt
