Exclamation Adobe Audition 3 hardware problems

Hi everyone!

I have this problem: When I try to use the mastering effect the same time as the track is playing the sounds f***s up and I almost can't hear anything. I know it is because of a performance lack in my hardware. But I don't know what I must do because I don't know if it is CPU or RAM that is the problem. When I lower the sampling rate it works quite fine but then the sound quality is too bad!

I know my computer sux, here is the stats:

Intel Celeron
CPU 2.40 GHz
224 MB RAM

I think Auditon once said something about that it needed more CPU but I am not sure. But I don't understand since I have enough CPU according to the system requirements..

Plzzzz help anyone, I don't know what to do, and I am a complete n00b! Yes, I admit it :-P Should I buy more RAM? Ore is a new CPU needed??

Thanks!
SMD
