hey guys,
im really new to this and i wanted to start recording using midi.
i have a yamaha mm6 and a tascam us-144 audio/midi interface. i got 2 midi cables-- one connecting from midi out of the keyboard to the midi in of the tascam and the other cable connecting midi out from the tascam to the yamaha mm6.
i'm currently using cubase le and i started a new midi track. but, i am not totally sure how to set up the track (in/out and channels) such that i could get sound and listen to the midi track. when i press the keyboard, i can see the green volume level bar increasing and decreasing on the midi track (on cubase) but i cannot hear anything even when i press the monitor button on. i can record but there is no sound from the keyboard to hear what i am playing and i also cannot hear what i have recorded.
i was wondering if any of you could help me with this. i would really appreciate it.
