Let me explain it a little better.
I was hoping there would be a way that I could record 12 tracks of drums with overdubs, edits, etc in a way where all changes made to one single track effected all 12 tracks. This is very similar to the folder track idea. (Very similar!) but the folder track doesn't do edits to my knowledge. So for example, let's just say we need to hit the 2nd verse again on the drums. I hit play on the first chorus and about when the drummer is jumps in, I hit the record button. When the drummer finished that 2nd verse, I hit stop. At this point, I've had to go in and do all crossfades and changes in terms of when to switch over to the 2nd take verse the first take. This it appears I have to do one track at a time. I don't remember being able to do crossfades with folder tracks. I may need to look into folder tracks a little further to make sure.
