We have 1 for vocals and I tried it as a center overhead. The mic is very sensitive and will pick up everything so if you make any mistakes, hitting a rim or getting your sticks tangled up it will be very obvious. I also ran into some phase problems I think in part to the sensitivity of the mic.
I switched to 2 Audio Technica Pro 37's as overheads and I prefer them. These also work great for close mic'ing hi hats.
