What a challenge I've created
- and all I wanted to do was lay down some bass and drum backing tracks, practice vocals and guitar (then erase before playing "live)
So I bought an Alesis Multimix 8 USB - came with Cubase LE
Have an Alesis SR 16 on channel 5/6 ( I can hear itin headphones through the mixer so I know it gets that far, and see levels on the mixer)
PC is XP Vaio Multimiedia Desktop - Pentuim 4, 1.5GB ram - Mixer connected to USB.
Can't hear or record any thing through the PC - or "see it" in cubase when I start a project - been through the tutorials - still I'm STOOPID.
(scary thing is I'm in the technology biz - and used to do a little 4 track tape editiing - so far that was easy in comparison
