yeah I got the click thing solved in cubase, but I still dont get any audio output from playing a MIDI file, guitar pro file, or powertab file. For example, if I double click on a .mid file, windows media player opens up and plays back the file, but I dont hear anything. I dont think this is a cubase problem-it has something to do with my firestudio interface, but I cant figure it out for the life of me.

i emailed presonus tech support, but they told me things that I already knew and have tried. for those of you with external firewire interfaces, what happens when you double click on a .mid file? Do you hear anything? on my other machines with built in souncards, you just double click on the .mid file and it plays back in windows media player no problem.
