I'm looking into the Firepod 24/96 (
Buy PreSonus FIREPOD 24-bit/96k FireWire Recording System at Musician's Friend) and am wondering about a few things.
I'm most likely going to get a laptop to dedicate almost solely to recording. My questions:
1) Is a 4-pin firewire connection on the laptop suitable (assuming all other specs on the computer are good)?
2) I already have a tube preamp I'm pretty happy with. Is the send/return situation acceptable with this unit?
I'm sure I'll be wondering about other things soon, but any help for now would be greatly appreciated!
