Can anyone tell me if you are having proublems with Sound Blaster X-fi ?
Nope. I've never had any problems recording with a Sound Blaster card because I know they are inadequate for audio recording where low latency is required and do not even to attempt to do so.

I sound like a smart ass. What else is new?

As I dickheadishly implied, the Sound Blaster cards were not meant to be used for low latency audio recording. They are cheap soundcards with a few extra jacks and the best graphic design in the world on the boxes.

I'd highly recommend you check out the Home Recording Soundcard Wizard to find an audio interface that was designed for recording.
