Used to play Ludwig Vistalites for fun. Never liked the feel. I always hear they are louder, but I'm not buying that. Good wood drums can crank. I have a set of C&C maple that are so loud they hurt my ears if unprotrcted. If you like acrylic kits go for it. That's why there is chocolate and vanilla...
