can anyone recommend an interface for mic'ed vocals and mic'ed acoustic guitar please

possibly this can be done with the Fast Track - it has a mic-in - but balancing for mic audio with FT is something i find almost impossibly difficult to do, maybe also because this interface is primarily designed for electric guitar

what would be cool for a mic interface please?

i use a condenser mic which gives me excellent results on a digital recorder [wav, wma, mp3] but has me tearing what remains of my hair out whenever i plug it (amplified) into FT
eventually shelled out for the M-Audio 'SoundCheck' mic because it is basically designed and balanced to work with FastTrack.

there is a great improvement in the overall audio

my basic criticism of FT is that it is so small - not a bad thing in being compact but - that the dials cannot be be calibrated because they are tiny, so i need to mark up the unit by hand

this said, i am getting some real cool results from FT just now

the golden rule is to check for driver updates regularly - there is no way round this - and it is probably the same for all pc-user digi products?

a nuisance but i could never afford or have the sheer room to set up analogue mixer units in my flat, so i am pleased with what i can achieve but always looking to improve on hardware / what i can do

thanks
