 Re: Using Live Drums For Rap????
I was kinda hoping live drums, and other instruments, would be the next evolution of rap. Not that I'm an expert in the genre. Actually I could see a human metronome like the late great groovemaster Alan Jackson Jr or the Motown session drummer Bernard Purdie pulling it off. It would take a certain kind of drummer who not only has superior time keeping abilities and a sense of groove, but who can also keep it simple, danceable, nasty AND interesting. Not a very long list of drummers who come to mind there. He or she is probably just waiting to be discovered and employed by an enterprising gentleman like Mr. Bytch Killa.
