Well - you'll find some healthy criticism on this site at times, but it is always respectful and validated. For the most part though - we're all musicians just trying to record our tunes - whether we know how to do it well or are just learning. The feedback will almost always be about the recording itself rather than the tune. As it should be. Hence the name 'RecordingReview.com'.

With that said - I thought overall the two of you have the potential to work well together. For many parts of the song - the timing of your harmonies was good - but other times you were off.

Also - towards the later part of the chorus when the vocals go to the lower notes - you tend to sound a bit flat. If you are doing a cover tune and you can't hit the notes like the original - change it up a bit so that it fits your voice. In other words - if you are following the tune exactly note for note and you start to sound out of key in a particular part - just change to something you can hit - but that is still in tune with the melody. Nothing wrong with that. Actually - I'd prefer that in a cover.

Now - like the other guys mentioned - there is another whole world awaiting you guys if you get the right recording gear. This site is the perfect place to learn about what to get and not have to spend a ton of cash.

Study up on this site - save up (if needed) and get just a few pieces of equipment that will allow you to record digitally. You'll be amazed at how your instruments and vocals can sound with a little tweaking.

It's cool that you posted this. I liked it and want to hear more from you dudes.
