Like on my mo6 keyboard, it only puts out 44.1 so that's done, which is probably the default config of your akai.

If patchmix is running at 44.1, which you can see, I think on the bottom right, then your also done. It should just be a matter of clicking the little star on the left and creating a new panel strip for the S/Pdif input and it should work.

If you already have a strip then just add an ASIO send to it.

Then start cubase and add a bus in VSTconnections(you can rename it)
Set that bus to the ASIO send you added in patchmix. Then it (bus) will be available as a source on an audio track.
