Does sound modern. Its a very loud and compressed mix, a little too compressed for me.
Don't forget that they compress things again on radio.
I think its a great arrangement. Love the little touches here and there like the
synth bits in the background at 0:43, and the backing vocals at 2:15. So there is a lot
of attention to detail.
However, it sounds like pop and not rock as it doesn't sound like a real band to me.
The drums sound like addictive drums or something and the programming is very simple.
The benefit of this is that its perfectly recorded, quick and in perfect time.
The guitar sounds like a guitar sim like a line6 and not a real amp miked up, but the playing is fine. I like the jaunty keyboard line, the keyboard sounds a bit like my
Roland JV2080. I suspect the bass line is played on the keyboard too.
Generally though, really excellent work especially with regard to the arrangement.
What market is the music aimed at?
Thank you very much.
The drums are real, played on a tama set
the guitar is going through peavey 5150 head through a marshall cab
keyboard is done on a jv-80
and the bass guitar is real bass guitar
