Default Re: anyone use acid pro to mix or record?

I liked your article Brandon.......but I think Cubase is a little more advanced than the older (like 8 years) version of Vegas. Not saying your not right......it was your time to find a newer product to fit your needs. (and your examples support that)

I use ACID alot...... not as much for recording, but for mixing, main song building/production and such. I have Pro 4.0......but would love to step to version 6 in the future get much better MIDI and now full multitracking. I multitrack currently in Vegas 4.....and still do lots of DVD editing in Vegas 4 also. I use Sound Forge 7 for anything that is just 2 channel.

I have played with Ableton Live some.......but the learning curve was to head scratching.....I don't even have it installed right now.

I think it is all what you get used to and what fits your needs....... My needs are certainly different than Brandon or any of you out there. I want to step up on software....but the cash is just not there at the moment.

Use what you feel good using, and what gives you the best final product to your liking........
