I am looking for a turntable as well, but I'd like to be able to listen to music without turning on my pc, but I don't know how or what do I need to connect it. I have an EMU 0404 USB soundcard and Tascam VL A5 bi-amped monitors. The Emu has S/PDIF coaxial/optical in but I don't know if it would work without the pc. Also, very few turntables have S/PDIF out and most of those that have are expensive so,...do you know any other way I could go? Would the Mic/Hi-z line in work?
