Agreed. Maybe there is an option for this somewhere. I would DEFINITELY want panning control over each side. Of course, if I know it's going to be an issue, I just record two mono tracks.

Recording the two mono tracks is a pain for editing sometimes though (and that's the only reason I would record a stereo track anyway.

The only instrument I record like this is acoustic guitar, so it's not that big of issue, really.
