Default Toneport UX8 vs Fast Track Ultra 8r
Seem to have identical specs, except line 6 has pod farm and 2 hi-z lines. If I went with the M-Audio, would I have to use a pre-amp for my guitars and bass?

I need USB, as there is no way to connect a 6pin firewire to my laptops' dock (it's a IBM T61p, so no worry about power).
