I'd go for that if I were you. To be honest, my only complaint with mine is that it is a little too bright for my taste, even with the treble control rolled back some way; and I've been thinking that something like an Eminence 12" bass driver, as Polytone used to use I believe, might help to mellow the sound a bit. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a replacement speaker, but my tip would be not to go for anything too sensitive as this is one LOUD 50w transistor amp.
