Yeah, I agree with you 100% on all points. I didn't (and don't) expect every local band to jump on board. I know, from personal experience, musicians are lazy and cheap (except, for me it was pot and Madden NFL-lol). This doesn't bother me though because I don't want to spend every free minute I have on it (like some webmasters do-haha). Even though I spent 22 hrs on it in 2 days. I already have a few people working with me, a few streat-teamers, about 10 bands interested in working with us-over 70 local shows posted on the site, about 220 bands listed on the site, and over 400 hits in 4 days-not too bad for starters I guess.
I, basically, just wanted to do something worthwhile to the local scene with my spare time, and do something I'm good at (since I don't have any numbchuck, bow-hunting, or computer hacking skills) to help some bands out. I learned alot in the past 12-15 yrs in bands, and I think I can offer alot to other bands.
You actually hit the nail on the head too, I'm targeting certain bands to work with, and hopefully, we can expand from there.
B, I'd love to get my boys in the band Butchered up to you. Death metal from the bootheel baby, and I'm tellin ya..they're talented as hell. The drummer is as good (or is better) then Alex Estes, the guitars are fat, chunky and catchy (& in key), and their lead singer sounds like the dude from Six Feet Under. Wicked shit!
