Well, first and foremost, I hope you've picked the right demographic of people to work with. I've taken a different route with my music these days. I've decided that the average hobbyist musician is not really who my studio needs to cater to if I plan on having any real success with my recording.
The day it hit me that the local musicians were not interested enough in music to make building a real pro studio economical, I must say that I took it pretty hard.
If you do have interest in working with local bands, that's cool. Hopefully, you won't suffer the same fate that I did.
I see that you FINALLY started using the domain redirect. Very good.
I think this is a cool idea if you can find anyone that gives a shit enough to use the service. You'll have to pry the band away from Halo, pot, and laziness to actually do anything productive with their time. But if you find a few guys that do, go for it.
I really do think you've got a good rig here. Don't let my dissillusionment with "local music" scare you off.
My advice would be to find a couple of artists that you REALLY believe have potential, talent, work ethic, etc to make it worth your time. By focusing on a few great bands, I think a service like this could be awesome. If a band is already working really hard, the synergy of you helping them could be tremendous.

PS I had to create a new profile anyway, because I never could log in for some reason under 'randy'. That's why I haven't shown my ugly face here in a while! haha

I guess you didn't get the memo. When I switched forum software, everyone had to reset their password. Now you know.
